After a 5 month hiatus following March quarantine, we’ve heard that so many of you are ready to start having playdates again!
Whether it’s virtually, socially-distanced outdoors or in the comfort of someone’s home, we are working to explore a RANGE of new playgroup options, across all age groups, which can be matched to YOUR personal comfort level during this time. We know all of you mamas are desperate to get your little ones out of the house right now, so we are excited to work with you to make these new groups work better than ever!
Here’s a preview of what we’re working on (and what we need from you in order to participate!):
We are essentially “starting from scratch” with forming our playgroups, given that many of our legacy groups (formed in 2019 or earlier) started to ‘fizzle out’ at the beginning of 2020. This was largely in part to it being cold ‘n flu season (a difficult season for playdates in any year). And when COVID started in early March, it didn’t help to carry the momentum of our groups into the summer. Now, with Fall almost here, we’ve had many of you wondering if your playgroup still exists?, or….what your options are for continuing with a playgroup this year.
And with so many NEW members joining the league not previously matched to a group, we thought it was the perfect time to reassess all of our groups for a fresh start.
Our goal is to create several age-specific playgroups, ranging from:
0-6 months (TBD, pending interest…newborns aren’t that much fun!)
6-12 months
1-2 years old
2-3 years old
3-4 years old
5-8 years old
Mixed Ages group (for those of you with multiple kids and are only able to attend 1 playgroup per week)
*Some of the age groups above may be combined pending participation/sign-up numbers
Within those age groups, there MAY be more than one group that is formed to accommodate availability AND social-distancing preferences – for example, a group that prefers outdoor activities only, prefers less than 5 kids per group, prefers a 100% masked group, etc.

We will do our best to match you to a group that aligns with your availability and preferences, but please be sure to tell us what’s most important to you when you fill out the form!
In the meantime, please reach out to Mary Boyle (the Playgroup Chair) at maryeboyle13@gmail.com with any questions or concerns. She will be working over the next few weeks to form the groups based on playgroup request form responses.
Our goal is to have the majority of groups formed by early September – but stay tuned for more details over email (and Mary may be reaching out to you directly with questions and/or to coordinate schedules further once we receive your form).
