'24-'25 League Kickoff Party

The new league year officially started with the annual kickoff party earlier this week. Hosted by Sloan & Williams Winery on Grapevine Main St; they graciously opened on a Tuesday evening just for our group. Pouring all manner of wine and offering light bites, they really made us feel welcome. Floral decorations, silver tea service and fresh flowers on the tables introduced a theme which will be carried through the year to our Great Gala event next spring, The Queen's Ball.

New and returning members alike participated in an ice breaker dice rolling game to get to know more about each other. We also had the opportunity to use the fresh flower displays to decorate our own mini vases to take home. It was cool to see everyone's creativity and varied mini creations. We were given copies of the latest Scout Guide for Southlake & Grapevine including our very own GCSML listing! Additional goodies included GCS sticky notes and adorable flower pens.

Two door prizes were given during the event. The first was for new members only. The person with the birthdate closest the that day won a gift. The next was a raffle drawing for all attendees to win a bottle of champagne.

Returning from last year's Great Gala was musician Brad Thompson. He rocked the house with a range of jams including 90's rock, today's country, classic hits and more. Adding to the festivities were tasty treats from the Kid Kakes cupcakes.

It was a great start to an exciting year ahead! We will have a full calendar of events highlighting our three pillars of Friendship, Community and Philanthropy. If you haven't renewed yet or are interested in joining us at the New Member Mingle we would love to see you there.
