GCS Moms League Fundraising Kendra Scott

Join us for a Belated Mother's Day Shopping Party with Kendra Scott. You can support GCS Moms League by shopping In-store or Online May 12–13. 20% of proceeds (when you use code GIVEBACK-1JV5) will be donated to the Genesis Women's Shelter.  Set a reminder and join us to shop for a great cause!

GCSML is partnering with Kids Matter to help create a Virtual Library. Kids Matter International is an local organization with the vision to break the cycle of poverty among children in the communities they serve and give them hope. Due to Covid, their volunteers cannot perform their typical Ramp Up Reading (summer reading program), so they created an alternative. Kids Matter is asking GCSML members to send a video of themselves reading a children's book (think elementary school) and email it to mlspeight@mac.com by Friday, May 21st. These videos will be put on their website so their families can still work on literacy while they are at home. Start your video with the book title and author, and then just read! They asked that the video is filmed so all illustrations are seen. Here’s an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xr9eLsxMvU

GCS Superbowl Squares

It's simple to play: between now and February 7, click here and purchase as many squares as you would like on each board. (There are 100 squares per board)  Then, each quarter, one square will win based on the current game score. It's 100% luck and A LOT of fun!

GCS Moms League will donate 50% of the proceeds ($500) to the Miracle League of Southlake. This wonderful organization provides opportunities for children to play Miracle League baseball, regardless of their abilities.

Four lucky participants will split the remaining pot. Click here for details on how to play and purchase your squares. Purchase squares for yourself, friends or family. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon AND support a local organization.

It's Girl Scout cookie time! Do you LOVE supporting our hard-working Girl Scouts and want to show our community some love this Valentine's Day?! If so, February's community service project is for you.

Our goal is to either donate or buy a box of Girl Scout cookies for at least 55 residents at a local nursing home. If you've already purchased cookies and have a few boxes to share, great! If you need a Cookie Broker (aka Girl Scout) connection, click here to email us for contact information of several GCS Moms with Girl Scouts.

Not interested in cookies but still want to give support? You can Venmo

Jill Luna at @Jill-Luna306 and all proceeds will be used to purchase (evenly!) from the lovely daughters of our GCS Moms!

Click here to contact us for the box drop off location.  Brownie points if you would like to have your children decorate Valentine's Day cards for the residents! (They really loved our Christmas cards and I know they will feel the love from us this Valentine's Day!)

In the midst of a global pandemic WITH its devastating economic effects and logistical nightmares AND during a crazy fall and holiday season, we were still able to band together and give back to those in our community who are really struggling. On behalf of the entire Community Events Team, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to all of you. Thank you for giving your time, your talents, your money, and more to those less fortunate. We are astounded at the generosity of our members.

Christmas is for Children

GCS Moms League collected over 110 toys to donate to Christmas is for Children – a local, nonprofit based in Southlake dedicated to providing unprivileged children a truly magical Christmas. We can only imagine the joy on their faces when they woke up Christmas morning to brand new toys on their wish lists. Thank you to all that participated!

GCS Moms League Coats & Cards Community

November 2020 featured TWO great charitable opportunities: Cards and Coats! Thank you to all of the members and community that helped us EXCEED OUR GOALS FOR BOTH EFFORTS!

Perhaps no one has felt the devastation of COVID more than our senior citizens and military members, so we really want to brighten their holiday season. We collected more than 200 Happy Holiday cards to distribute to nursing homes in our area and military members overseas. #GCS200Cards

We also hosted a Coat Drive with One Warm Coat and collected more than 100 coats for adults and children in our community. THANK YOU to all of our generous participants! #GCS100Coats!
